Francés previously worked as Chief Counsel Global Consumer / Chief Counsel / Head of Legal for an international publicly traded U.K. advertising company launching new B2B and B2C digital media products and services, ecommerce, mobile, online, and print capabilities in the United States, South America, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

A native of Corpus Christi, TX, Francés began her career as a Corporate & Securities Associate with a prominent international Wall Street law firm, and she subsequently held senior positions as General Counsel for a national marketing & advertising strategy company; as Regional Head of Business Affairs / Client Services Marketing & Promotions, & as Executive Producer for a major national broadcasting company including over 25 radio stations and sister television stations; and she also served as the No. 2 Head of Business Affairs for a major international record company, a major international music publishing company, & a major international music production company;

In addition, Francés also served as Legal Affairs Attorney for a major international record company, major international music publishing company, and major international merchandising & distribution company, & also served as Assistant General Counsel including Advertising, Branding, Trademarks & Licensing for an innovative clean & renewable energy company. Francés also taught at California State University Northridge as an Adjunct Professor of Business Law & Administration, and she also previously served as a Music Commissioner for the City of Austin, TX.

Francés currently serves as a Board Member & Co-Chairperson of the Board of allgo (a statewide queer people of color organization), and she recently served as a Council Member on the Entertainment and Sports Law Council for the State Bar of Texas (TESLAW).

Francés has previously served on numerous nonprofit, community, & professional Boards including as a Council Member on the Computer & Technology Council for the State Bar of Texas, as a member of the Mexican American Cultural Center Advisory Council, as a Board Member of the Black Entertainment & Sports Lawyers Association, Inc. (BESLA), and as a Board Member of the Paramount Theatre. She also served as a Board Member of the City of Austin’s Small Business Enterprise / Minority Business Enterprise / Women Business Enterprise (SBE/MWBE) Procurement Program Advisory Commission, as a Board Member of Women & Their Work (a statewide visual & performing arts organization), and she is a dedicated member of her sorority Delta Delta Delta (Tri Delta).

Francés has volunteered as an Advocate for CASA of Travis County (Special Advocates for Children) in Austin, TX & for In Harmony with the Homeless in Los Angeles, CA. She enjoys languages, and she speaks intermediate Spanish and some Mandarin Chinese. Francés has been featured in numerous publications and as a guest lecturer and panel participant at universities and professional conferences throughout the U.S.A. & internationally, and she enjoys international cultures, music, theatre, poetry, photography, nature, and yoga. Most importantly, and by far her greatest accomplishment, Francés is the proud mom of a beautiful young daughter and a single parent who created her family through adoption.
